Hey Miss Drama Lady~! First journal entry ever!
We have been focusing on Naturalism and non-naturalism in our Drama studies. I enjoyed working with non-naturalism in class, using various conventions of non-naturalism to create a small piece within class time.
As we speak, I am working on researching Erwin Piscator.
Byebye for now!~!~!~~!~!~

Well, It has been a while… but I am still here! Coping with the transition from Semester One to Two. Hello to all new students. I am really happy with the new bunch of 10’s who have joined. A great infusion of unique personalities. Very very happy….
Not sure what else to put except you all better knuckle down and get the comedy show up and running!!!!!

I can’t believe it… it’s that time of year again when all I have in my head (instead of important/relevant info) is “Whooa! We’re half way there! Whooa! Living on a Prayer..”
Anyhoo, So the performance night went really well… considering… Everyone who performed really impressed me (now that is saying something… yep you heard it here! Praise! Praise from Mrs Healy) What needs to happen now is the evaluation of your own performance.
A few general comments:
- scene changes were really clunky.
- We really needed to rehearse in the venue. The only group that really did this was Ashley, Lucy and Brittany and it reflected in their performance.
- Stuff was lost cause there was no designated place for your stuff.
Anyhoo… I have to go and mark your exams now……FUN TIMES!!!!

Hey all,
I have just returned from a whirlwind tour of Melbourne to see the Aitken College production of ‘FAME!’. Now I must be honest, I am not really a fan of the written show, movie or to a lesser extent the tv series….
However, I was a huge fan of this version. Special mentions must go to Jared Kayrooz as a fantastic Tyrone. He was such a standout!!  Romina Modesta has really blossomed as a performer since I last saw her.. what a transformation! My personal favourite however, has to be my boy Lucas as the Drama Teacher… way to go (AC/DC is still in the house!)
The choreography was really shmick and beautiful. What a great trip down memory lane with the costumes…
Well Done MC.
Well done Aitken. What a great time catching up with you again.

After an ‘interesting’ bus journey, we made it to Fairfield to see the ‘Machination Theatre Company’s’ production of Destin. This was a fantastic example of physical theatre.  I am expecting to read everyone’s thoughts about this during the week!Â

Ok guys, here goes….
By now you should have your performance concept and also have your ‘World of the Play’ organised. This week we need to focus on developing those ideas further.
This week you need to create your own journals…. I will be inspecting them very soon.
Good luck!
